The UT|GO Barcelona summer program is an excellent way to complete components required for the UT Business Foundations Certificate. This program promotes studies in International Business, Hispanic Studies, Audiovisual Communication, Economics, Political Science and Spanish language at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Barcelona fosters a truly international environment through program design at UPF. Designed as an academic challenge showcasing the vibrant city as a modern, cosmopolitan melting pot and an ideal forum for discussing current global issues. The program offers flexibility and scope for enrollment in language and subject-specific courses revolving around the arts, business, society and the audiovisual industry, with a focus on Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Europe.

Academic Information

Students will take 6 credits (2 courses), by enrolling in IB 320F AND 1 Spanish language course OR 1 area studies course. Students can only select from the 4 week/6 ECTS course options. Courses are held at UPF Ciutadella and Communication campuses. All courses are transfer credit, and sent to UT upon successful completion of the program.


Courses are taught by engaged, highly rated Professors and lecturers from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).

Students live with homestay families (1-2 students per family) throughout the city. Breakfast and dinner provided Sundays - Thursdays. Students are required to live in program housing. *NOTE - there is a $150 refundable security deposit that students must pay to our affiliate provider.

Program Cost

2020 Program Fee TBD; 2019 Program Fee: $5500. Program fee includes housing, breakfast & dinner Sunday-Thursday, local transit pass, administrative/instructional costs, and on-site orientation. Students are required to make a $650 deposit and sign a financial responsibility policy.
