ENGINEERING COMMUNICATION AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETING AND INDUSTRY

 

Barcelona is ranked at the top of the most student friendly cities in the world. It ranks in the top 30 cities for its business, educational and political strengths, and its cultural attractions. On this program, students have the opportunity to choose 2 courses for either the Summer First or Whole Session. Students can choose from the following combinations of courses: 1) Engineering Communication and International Marketing (First Session), 2) Engineering Communication and Industry Experience (Whole Session), or 3) Industry Experience and International Marketing (Whole Session). Engineering Communication is taught by a UT professor. All other courses are taught by local Spanish staff. The Industry Experience course includes a professional seminar and practical workplace experience in companies related to engineering.

Academic Information

Students must maintain good academic standing to attend this program. Students earn in residence credit for Eng Comm, and transfer credit for all other courses. International Marketing, IB 320F, counts towards credit for the Business Foundations Certification.

UT Professor William Fagelson teaches Engineering Communication, 333T. Local Spanish professors teach International Marketing and the Industry Immersion course.

Program Cost

2018 program: $4850 for Summer First Session and $6975 for Summer Whole Session- included housing, two meals/day, airport pick up, orientation, cell phone rental, local transportation pass, onsite student services, activities and excursions.
