ENGINEERING COMMUNICATION AND INDUSTRY

 

Barcelona is ranked at the top of the most student friendly cities in the world. It ranks in the top 30 cities for its business, educational and political strengths, and its cultural attractions. On this program, students take Engineering Communication with a UT professor, and an Industry Immersion course taught by local Spanish staff. The Industry Immersion course includes a professional seminar and practical workplace experience in companies related to engineering. The program includes course-related and cultural activities in Barcelona, as well as a weekend-long excursion to the Costa Brava region.

Academic Information

Students must maintain good academic standing to attend this program. Students earn in residence credit for Engineering Communication, and transfer credit for the Industry Immersion course.

Faculty

UT Professor William Fagelson teaches Engineering Communication, 333T. A local Spanish professor teaches the Industry Immersion course.

Program Cost

2020 program cost TBD. 2019 program fee: $6975. Includes housing, two meals/day, airport pick up, orientation, local transportation pass, onsite student services, activities and excursions. Excludes summer tuition and fees, international airfare, overseas insurance and personal expenses.
