Part of the International Internship Program. Barcelona is a dynamic city and boasts one of the most diverse economies in Europe, with business sectors in many sectors including heavy manufacturing, high tech computer services, financial and banking services, fashion, and sports companies, with ample opportunity to utilize a variety of business, marketing, communications and graphic design skills, as well as engineering and science-related skills.

Internship: Barcelona offers full-time summer internship placements to undergraduate students. Internships are customized to students' skill sets, prior work experience, current academic pursuits and future career goals. Placements are possible in a range of industry sectors. Students will also participate in cultural activities and professional development workshops. The program offers 1 week of intensive Spanish or Catalan language lessons.

Credit is not included in this program. UT has 90+ internship courses. Students should talk with their academic advisor to determine whether to take an internship course through their department. Final decision to award credit rests with the student's school/college.

Option of apartment or homestay (additional fee). Homestay offers 2 meals per day and laundry. Apartments are double rooms with kitchen facilities and basic amenities. Single room available for additional fee. Housing is spread out through the city of Barcelona and located close to public transportation.

Program Cost

Fee includes housing, activities, and metro pass. Homestay option and single room option for additional fee. Program fee does not include airfare, insurance, local transportation, $500 refundable housing deposit, meals (apartment) and personal expenses.
