INTERNSHIP: BANGKOK

 

Part of the International Internship Program. Bangkok's remarkable economic and social growth has lead to its status as "one of the great development success stories," according to the World Bank. Currently the economic powerhouse in Southeast Asia with the 6th highest per-capita GDP, Bangkok is the center of wealth and modernization for the region. The Internship Bangkok program offers full-time summer internship placements for all majors. Internships are customized to students' skill sets, prior work experience, current academic pursuits and future career goals. Placements are possible in a range of industry sectors.

Students also participate in cultural activities, professional development workshops and service learning opportunities.

Credit is not included in this program. UT has 90+ internship courses. Students should talk with their academic advisor to determine whether to take an internship course through their department. Final decision to award credit rests with the student's school/college.

Housing

The students will be housed in modern condo along Sukhumvit Road near public transportation (Between Nana BTS and Udom Suk BTS). Students live in shared apartments with other UT students. The condominiums are equipped with kitchen, laundry facilities, AC and WIFI.

Program Cost

Program fees includes housing, cultural activities, administrative costs, transportation to/from work and on-site orientation. Program fee does not include airfare, insurance, $500 refundable housing deposit, and personal expenses. Eligible for Freeman Stipend.
