The CET Beijing program provides an unparalleled opportunity for UT students to immerse themselves in Chinese language learning in China's capital city either during the semester or summer. With an intensive curriculum, a full-time language pledge, and a local roommate who brings language practice into your home life, you will see language gains that astonish you.

Academic Information
This program accepts students of all language levels (beginner through advanced). Students take a total of 20 class hours per week. Overall, students can expect a challenging yet gratifying academic experience thanks to small classes, carefully trained teachers, a Chinese roommate, and the language pledge.

Housing
You share a furnished room with a local roommate in a recently renovated dormitory. Rooms offer private bathrooms and wi-fi access. The building is primarily for CET students in a central area of CNU's main campus and has a shared kitchen. Your roommate will be a great resource to help you get acquainted with Beijing.

Program Cost
Students will pay $75 application fee, $19/wk overseas insurance, and a $600 affiliated studies registration fee to UT Austin. Students pay an application and program fee (tuition, housing) to CET. See provider website for more details. Federal financial aid and scholarships apply for full-time summer (6 credits)/semester (12) enrollment.
