Based at Casa Herrera, UT Austin's educational and research facility
in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Antigua, Guatemala - this program
offers public health majors a firsthand look at epidemiological
transition and public health's role in achieving the United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals. Coursework relies on observation of
public health, medical, and commercial activities that impact
population health. Students will interact with staff in multiple
settings who work with nutrition, infectious disease prevention,
protection of the environment, and public health policy.
