This Maymester in Beirut, Lebanon offers a cultural balance between
the East and West, between rich history and modern civilization. Study
and stay at one of the most prestigious universities in the Middle
East, participate in site visits of active landslides, and end the
program with a site visit to Europe.
Engineering companies are becoming more global, expanding operations
or partnering with other international companies to form collaborative
international powerhouses. This Maymester provides students with a
unique opportunity to experience interacting with international
colleagues in Lebanon as well as having site visits in 2 continents.
As part of the course content in Lebanon, the students will be
introduced to international collaborations between US and Lebanese
researchers that will offer insight into their feasibility and
benefits.
