MAYMESTER: TRANSPORT PHENOMENA IN LIVING SYSTEMS

Study in the south of France on this 4-week Maymester. Montpellier is a charming city, located a few miles from coast of the Mediterranean. Montpellier is known for its sunny weather, ancient architecture and modern lifestyle, as well as its vibrant network of universities, research labs and technology-driven businesses.

BME 353 is taught by UT professor, Dr. James Tunnell. UT students participating in the course will learn the physics behind heat, mass, and fluid flow in medical devices and the human body. Working in small groups, students develop problem-solving skills that enable adaptive expertise for addressing novel biomedical applications.

Class is generally 4 days per week. The program includes French language lessons, cultural activities and an excursion.
