Open to all eligible Portuguese Flagship students, the Flagship Capstone is a two semester study abroad experience in Brazil that gives students the opportunity to reach superior level proficiency in Portuguese. The first semester (spring) is spent studying at the Federal University of Sao Joao del-Rei in Minas Gerais, and the second semester (fall) is spent interning anywhere in the country related to the students interest or area of study.

Academic Information
Students will take the following mandatory Flagship courses: Grammar, Language and Culture, Media, Oral Comprehension, and Service Learning. As well as one to three (one being the minimum) additional courses related to their major.
