The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) is a non-profit organization
that provides international education abroad programs for US college
students since 1988.
IFSA offers programs in 53 locations worldwide. Semester and summer
programs are approved. Student may participate in multi-destination
programs. January term and virtual programs are not approved. For a
full list of programs visit the IFSA website.
Offering traditional classroom-based learning as well as internships.
Many of their programs include language instruction.

To be eligible for Federal Financial Aid, students must be fully enrolled (6 credits in summer, 12 credits Fall/Spring terms)

Program Cost
See IFSA website for details. UT Students get a $2000 IFSA fee reduction and will pay $75 application, $600 affiliated studies fee, and $19 a week for overseas insurance to UT Austin in addition to the IFSA costs. The dates below ARE NOT the actual dates of the program. See the website for the exact program and application deadline dates.
