MAYMESTER: PROJECT MANAGEMENT & ECONOMICS

Barcelona is ranked at the top of the most student friendly cities in the world. It ranks in the top 30 cities for its business, educational and political strengths, and its cultural attractions. The course introduces students to project management and economics, within the context of engineering projects and innovation. Course activities include lectures, technical visits, classroom discussions, and oral presentations. The two main learning objectives for the course are: 1) Learn the basics of how a project comes together (timeline, main components, participating organizations, etc.). Some applications will be construction focused, but most of the concepts are generalizable. 2) Learn to be smart about money in engineering applications (investment, budgeting, risk and decision-making).
