MAYMESTER: ENGINEERING DYNAMICS

 

During this 4-week Maymester, students will study the principles of kinematics and dynamics using Newton's Laws, Work & Energy Methods, and Impulse & Momentum Methods. Students will develop problem-solving skills and an understanding of the wide-ranging engineering applications of dynamics, including aircraft, spacecraft, mechanisms, structures, transportation, and human movement. The course concludes with an introduction to computer applications in engineering vibrations.

Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee acceptance - Prerequisites to be completed before departure: EM 306,M 408D (or M 308M), and PHY 303K, all with a grade of C- or better.

The program fee includes housing in shared rooms, in a student residence in Kentish Town in London.

Program Cost

Est. program fee $5200-5500: housing in shared rooms, welcome/farewell meals, local transit pass, program activities, 24/7 emergency support. Excludes international airfare, most meals, personal expenses. Maymester tuition waiver (separate from program fee) requires spring enrollment of 12+ credit hours
