- London, England
During this 4-week Maymester, students will study the principles of
kinematics and dynamics using Newton's Laws, Work & Energy Methods,
and Impulse & Momentum Methods in one of the most interesting global
cities.
Students will develop problem-solving skills and an understanding of
the wide-ranging engineering applications of dynamics, including
aircraft, spacecraft, mechanisms, structures, transportation, and
human movement. The course concludes with an introduction to computer
applications in engineering vibrations. The city is full of examples
that illustrate these laws and methods.
London is one of Prof. Connolly's favorite world capitals as it is
full of engineering feats but also incredibly rich in culture and
history which students will have time to explore.
