ENGINEERING DYNAMICS AND INDUSTRY

Barcelona is a vibrant global city with a large manufacturing base, striking engineering and architectural marvels, and rich cultural heritage. Students take a Dynamics course with a UT professor, and are concurrently placed in a part-time internship with an engineering, information technology, or business focus, with one of the many diverse companies in Barcelona. All internships are for credit and conducted in English, but students who are proficient have the option of conducting their internship in Spanish. In the Dynamics course, students will learn the fundamentals of kinematics and dynamics by studying a broad range of engineering problems and applications using Newton's laws, work-energy, and impulse-momentum methods concluding with an introduction to vibrations and simulation-based design. Students experience the region's unique culture through program activities centered around food, art, music, and the region's natural beauty.
