*Page being updated for 2026* The course will provide a comparative lens to understand issues of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and immigration status in the UK context - and compare them to U.S. experiences. The course will also expose students to P-16 perspectives and experiences, where issues of vocational training, financial support, and policy implementation both parallel and contrast with the U.S. context.

Students earn 3 hours of in-residence credit upon successful completion of the program. Courses must be taken for a grade and are factored into the UT GPA. This course carries the Global Cultures flag.

Housing
Students live with homestay families. All students are required to live in program housing. Homestays provide students with breakfast and an additional meal each day.

*Program Costs may increase for 2026*Includes $500 non-refundable deposit, housing, some meals, excursions, administrative and instructional costs, and on-site orientation.
