Founded in 1863, POLIMI, has become one of the largest and most
prestigious engineering schools in the world. It trains engineers,
architects and industrial engineers. It has 3 main campuses in Milan,
Italy's vibrant center for fashion, industry and design. It is
organized into 12 departments for planning research strategies and 4
schools, responsible for organizing education. Strategic research in
conducted in the fields of energy, transportation, planning, built
environment, ICT, etc. POLIMI has over 130 labs, a Wind Tunnel and a
Crash Site Center. Over 40 programs are taught entirely in English
attracting top students from all over the world.
Two of its colleges cater to engineering students: The Civil,
Environment and Land Management Engineering School and the Industrial
and Information Engineering School.

Academic Information
Spring semester is the best match with the UT calendar. Students who are juniors and seniors can take Master's level courses if they have the necessary prerequisites. All Master's level programs are offered in English.

Housing
Students are not guaranted on campus housing. The accommodations in Politecnico di Milano residence halls are bookable through an on-line reservation procedure. All residence halls are near public transportation networks or in walking distance to campus.

Program Cost
UT students pay for tuition what they normally pay to attend UT for a semester. Housing, round-trip travel, local transportation, food and health insurance are additional charges which students must pay directly to providers.
