Osaka is the third largest city in Japan and a center of Japanese culture. Known for its modern architecture, nightlife, and strong street food scene, it's also the home of multinational electronics corporations such as Panasonic and Sharp. It is also a center for research, development, and finance. Students will study numerical solutions to algebraic and differential equations as well as numerical methods to integration, interpolation, and regression analysis, with application to chemical engineering. Students will also visit local companies like Panasonic, Mitsubishi, and national research institutes.
