- Stockholm, Sweden
Discover the exciting and ever-evolving world of digital modeling while exploring the beautiful and historic Scandinavian city of Stockholm, Sweden! This technique-based course focuses on the use of drawing and modelling in the construction industry. The course culminates with group design projects where students apply techniques covered in class to create their own vision for a local site re-development. Stockholm, the capital and largest city in Sweden, provides a rich history where nature intertwines with cultural sophistication and modern architecture. This unique setting offers students the opportunity to explore examples of classical and contemporary site design, which they may draw inspiration from for their final group projects. The May term is directed by the same professor who typically teaches the course in Austin, so students can be confident that they will be exposed to all the essential tools to prepare them for their upper division ARE design courses.
