TOKYO TECH: LOGIC AND PROBABILITY

Tokyo, Japan's busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. This will serve as the backdrop for the two Summer courses. The coursework serves as an introduction to probability and random processes for engineers. It will focus on the fundamentals and applications of probability models and associated computations that are typical in electrical engineering. The coursework also offers a contemporary approach to digital design emphasizing the separation of design and optimization tasks and introducing design methods as currently practiced. Students will participate in academic and industry visits, and have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with Japanese students at Oberlin College.
