- Florence, Italy
Florence, the capital of Italy's Tuscany region and cradle of the Renaissance, is a vibrant cultural hub that treasures its artistic heritage while continuing to evolve. Known as one of the world's most historically rich cities, Florence demonstrates multiple approaches to preserving tradition alongside innovation, such as its seamless integration of medieval architecture with modern urban life. This stunning city, celebrated for its art, cuisine, and fashion, is also recognized for the Arno River that flows through it, with scenic bridges and lively riverfront spaces. Students will enjoy the harmony of Florence's piazzas, world-class museums, and the surrounding hills, vineyards, and gardens. The program begins in Rome for 4 nights before continuing on to Florence for the duration of the program. On this program, students take Engineering Communication (333T), a required course for all engineering majors.
