The Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) is a public institution of
higher learning founded in 1977 with the goal of contributing to the
renewal of higher education in Portugal. It has five faculties,
including the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH), where
the program is primarily based. Facilities at FCSH include the central
library, computer facilities, a student association, a drama group, a
group devoted to traditional Portuguese music, and a bookstore.
There are 2 programs with a wide variety of disciplines on offer:

The Language and Culture study abroad program in Lisbon, Portgual is designed for students of all levels of Portuguese, beginner to advanced.Advanced Portuguese students are able to directly enroll in local university.

Housing
Housing is included in the program fee. Students are housed primarily homestays located a short commute from the FCSH where CIEE courses are held. There is also a very limited number of rooms available at the university dorm.
