Academic Information
CIEE Amman offers students a series of specially designed area studies courses. Area studies courses provide an overview of issues relevant to Jordan and the broader Middle East region.
Faculty
Courses available in ECO, HIS, IRG, EVS, R S, literature, politics, and regional diplomacy. Internships, volunteering available. All take Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Jordanian Arabic and onsite placement exam. One course can be taken at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT).

Housing
ARABIC LANGUAGE PROGRAM: Students are housed in Arabic-speaking homestays. MIDDLE EAST STUDIES (SEMESTER) AND SUMMER PROGRAMS: Students have the option of living with a Jordanian host family or in an apartment with other CIEE program participants. Cost reflects homestay option.

Program Cost
Students pay a $75 application, $19/wk overseas insurance, and a $600 affiliated studies registration fee to UT Austin. Students pay an application and program fee (tuition, housing) to CIEE. See the Provider website for details. Federal financial aid and scholarships apply for full-time summer (6 credits)/semester (12) enrollment.
