CIEE Madrid participants have a choice of programs. On Liberal Arts and Engineering and Society programs, students direct enroll in elective courses at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) - now recognized as Spain's most prestigious institution of higher education and have an optional internship available. Open Block program students study courses in English in chosen disciplines within seven different tracks: Art and Architecture, Business; Communications, Journalism, and New Media; Global and Community Health; International Relations and Political Science; Language, Literature, and Culture, or STEM and Society in one, two or three six-week blocks. Faculty
Students can attend any of CIEE's semester and summer programs in Madrid, including Open Campus Block. Please include the program link in your UT application. Program costs can be found in the specific program pages, budgets listed on the UT program page are an estimate. CIEE application deadlines vary.

Housing
Housing options vary depending on track and program length. Options are either a Spanish homestay or an apartment with other program participants and/or a CIEE Resident Fellow. Meals may or may not be included. *Check the CIEE website for more information*

Program Cost
Students pay a $75 application and a $600 affiliated studies registration fee to UT Austin. Students pay an application and program fee (tuition, housing) to CIEE. See the provider website for details. Federal financial aid and grants apply for full-time summer (6 credits)/semester (12) enrollment.
