ENAC: AEROSPACE AND AVIATION IN FRANCE

 

This course is intended for undergraduate students primarily for the GEA partner universities. It will provide the students with an overall knowledge of aeronautics and space fundamentals, as viewed from a European point of view. The contents include scientific and technical courses , but also general conferences and visits to aeronautical and historical sites. The program is tailored for Junior and Senior undergraduate students with a solid scientific background who are enrolled in aerospace, mechanical, mechatronics enigneering curriculae. A limited number of graduate students demonstrating strong motivation and good results in their application can also be selected. This year 4 weeks will be spent in Toulouse at ENAC and ISAE-SUPAERO, and 1 full week of courses takes place in ISAE-ENSMA Poitiers. Two 4-day field trips to Marseille and Arcachon Bay (Bordeaux area) are planned.

Academic Information

Students receive transfer credit for ASE 376K Propulsion and also credit for a second course on Basic French, European Culture and Industry EUS 319S.

Housing

In Toulouse, students live in dormitories arranged by ENAC. In other cities, students will stay in hotels arranged by ENAC staff.

Program Cost

2018 program fee (4100 in euros) included housing, breakfast/lunch during the week and hotels/travel for the official excursions. Students are responsible for international airfare, dinner, weekend meals, mandatory UT Austin health insurance, passport Financial aid and scholarships may be used. A visa is not required for US citizens.
