FUNDACAO GETULIO VARGAS

McCombs School of Business BBA, undergraduate iMPA and MBA students have the opportunity to study at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV). Founded in 1954, FGV established Brazil's first bachelors program in business administration and has become the only Brazilian institution to join the ranks of the top 50 business schools in the world. FGV is located in Sao Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and the world's 7th largest metropolitan area with an estimated 21 million inhabitants. Sao Paulo is also home to the largest Japanese population living outside of Japan. Founded in 1500 by the Portuguese, Brazil is known for its vibrant and rich culture, ethnic and geographic diversity, and welcoming people. Students take regular university courses with students from the host country. There is a foreign language requirement, as the number of courses taught in English is limited. Participants earn regular UT in-residence credit. All grades earned for the courses undertaken are computed into the official UT GPA.
