IES Barcelona participants have the option of studying at six different locations for the semester: Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Universitat de Barcelona, Universitat de Vic, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Universitat Ramon LIull, and/or the IES Study Center.

There are 4 Semester Programs with a wide variety of disciplines: (1) Advanced Spanish Studies (2) Liberal Arts (3) Business (4) Internship

Business majors in the IES Barcelona program for the fall or spring terms will work with Josh Rucker and Jasmine Bisheh in the BBA International Programs Office in McCombs.

Academic Information

Semester students may choose to attend IES classes at the IES Study Center with students and/or directly enroll in local University courses with Spanish and International Students. Summer participants take classes with only summer participants. The summer program is a Language and Area Studies program.

Faculty

Business majors enrolling in the IES Barcelona program for the fall or spring terms will work with Josh Rucker and Jasmine Bisheh in the BBA International Programs Office in McCombs. All other students enrolling in any semester or summer program work with the Education Abroad Program Coordinator.

Housing

For the semester programs, students have three housing options: homestay, campus residence hall, or an apartment. Students budget is based on a stay in a Spanish homestay.

Program Cost

Students pay $75 app. fee, $19/wk intl. insurance, and a $600 affiliated studies registration fee to UT. Students pay an app. and program fee (tuition, housing) to IES minus a $2000 grant (long sem. only). See IES website for details. Federal fin. aid and scholarships apply for full-time status (6 summer/12 semester credits).
