Rome is a living museum, a unique environment to understand the ups an downs in the history of mankind. Over three million people do their daily business surrounded by 2,500 years of history, including legendary ruins, architecture, and art.

The capital of Italy, Rome, is the country's political center and a major religious center, being the host to the Vatican, an independent state within Rome. IES Abroad offers summer, semester, and academic year programs in Rome.

Students choose from different programs that focus on different subject areas. During the semester, internships and service learning are available on select programs. Summer programs also include a full-time internship option. Please note that this track has an earlier deadline.

Program Cost

Students pay $75 app. fee, $19/wk intl. insurance, and a $600 affiliated studies registration fee to UT. Students pay an app. and program fee (tuition, housing) to IES minus a $2000 grant (long sem. only). See IES website for details. Federal fin. aid and scholarships apply for full-time status (6 summer/12 semester credits).
