Rome is a living museum, a unique environment to understand the ups an downs in the history of mankind. Over three million people do their daily business surrounded by 2,500 years of history ? including legendary ruins, architecture, and art.

The capital of Italy, Rome is the country's political center and a major religious center, being the host to the Vatican ? an independent state within Rome. IES Abroad offers summer, semester, and academic year programs in Rome.

Academic Information

Semester students enroll in Study Rome: Language & Area Studies and take Italian, other Italian and/or English-taught courses, university courses, and may be eligible to participate in an internship. Summer students choose between the Language and Culture or Internship program. Dates/cost reflect the most expensive and lengthy option.

Program Cost

All UT applicants receive $2000 Public University Grant for the long semester program. Additional awards available including possible $1000 Gilman match.
