- Cairo, Egypt
The American University of Cairo is an English language taught liberal
arts university with a diverse population of more than 5000
undergraduates from Egypt and 113 countries around the world. The
study abroad program with AUC offers students the opportunity to
enroll in courses offered in the general undergraduate catalog, as
well as intensive Arabic language instruction for foreigners.
Students enroll in courses at the New Cairo campus, a newly
constructed facility located on 280 acres east of Cairo.
Participants earn transfer credit that may be used in many instances
as in residence credit. Grades are not factored into the UT-Austin
GPA, although the letter grades earned do appear on a student's UT
Austin official transcript. Students must earn a grade of C or better
to receive transfer credit.
