Independent Study and Research (ISR) is a special registration at UT,
administered by the Education Abroad Office. It is designed to assist
UT students in maintaining full-time enrollment while conducting
independent research or full-language immersion abroad. ISR is open to
undergraduate and graduate students.

Program Cost
Student pay a one time $75 application fee and a $600 "affiliated studies" registration fee (per semester), to maintain full-time UT enrollment while abroad. Students also pay Overseas Insurance charges based upon their registered dates of travel.
