- Toulouse, France
Toulouse is an internationally recognized center for Engineering. This friendly and historic university city is set inland, close to the Mediterranean coast and Spain. The city is an attractive complex of architecture spanning centuries. Its welcoming public spaces and excellent public transportation network allow students to easily navigate the city. Students are hosted by the Institut National des Sciences Appliques de Toulouse (INSA-Toulouse). INSA Toulouse offers special Engineering courses in English as well as customized laboratory internships for UT Austin students. A course in French for Foreigners is taught concurrently to allow for easier immersion in the culture of the city and university. Students may spend Fall or Spring or Summer in laboratory internships or take a set of spring courses offered in English. Students write their laboratory research papers and take their tests in English.
