Situated in the heart of Mexico City, the cultural, financial, governmental and entertainment capital of the country, and one of the most populated cities in the world.

The Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) has become a Center of Excellence for training leaders in the social, engineering, and managerial sciences. ITAM is a top-ranked, private university with approximately 5800 students. The university excels in the fields of Economics, Business, Accounting, Math, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Political Science and Law. Courses in Spanish language and culture (taught in English) are also available, as well as courses in engineering, public policy, international studies, etc. ITAM has a secure, enclosed campus located in one of the best preserved colonial areas of Mexico City, easily accessible by public transportation.

**Summer programs were cancelled for 2023.** ITAM offers semester and summer programs. Students studying for the semester need advanced Spanish language. Summer programs are taught in English. ITAM is known for its quantitative areas.

ITAM does not own or operate student residences, but private providers offer various attractive options close to campus or to the metro stations serviced by the ITAM shuttlebus. Most international students live in residences or apartments with other international or Mexican students.

Program Cost

Students pay a one-time $75 application fee and regular UT tuition for the semester abroad. Students are responsible for airfare, passport/VISA, housing, transportation, and general costs of living.

Student is responsible for airfare, passport/VISA, housing, food, local transportation, required overseas insurance coverage. Financial aid and scholarships may be used.
