The CIEE Khon Kaen University program is an immersive experience for UT students to gain insights into Thailand's grassroots issues, including but not limited to the role of public health, economical, environmental, developmental and globalization.

The program includes a research/field work practicum and Thai language courses and two separate tracks: - Community Public Health (also available in summer) - Development and Globalization (semester only)

Courses are taught by faculty at Khon Kaen University, lecturers, the NGO Coordinating Committee on Development (NGO-CORD), government officials, representatives of NGOs, etc.

Housing is included in the program fee. While not on community visits host families, students live with a Thai roommate in off-campus rental units near Khon Kaen University.
