Academic Information

Students must enroll in the equivalent of 12 UT hours of coursework per semester while at NUS. Please check the My Credit Abroad database for courses that have been previously evaluated. If your courses are not listed, please work with your Program Coordinator to get course pre-approved.

Housing

On-campus dorms are available but not guaranteed. Students must indicate on their intitial exchange application that they require on- campus housing. Students will also complete a separate housing application after they are accepted into the program.

Program Cost

Students pay a $75 non-refundable application fee and regular UT tuition and are responsible for airfare, passport/VISA, housing, food, local transportation, and other costs of living. Students are required to purchase international health insurance. Financial aid and scholarships may be used.

All courses are taught in English. NUS is academically challenging, and students are very competitive. Exams and grades are considered confidential, and exams are not returned or discussed with the professors. This is the only school that offers a direct Business Honors Program exchange.

Financial aid and scholarships can be used.

Academic Information

All courses are taught in English. NUS is an academically rigorous env open to all majors. Exams are not returned by the professors a are n reviewed for changes. Students must register for a minimum of 12 hours and can take a combination of Engineering and other courses or just engineering courses.

Faculty

UT Engineering Prof.Thomas Connolly teaches a required online course for engineering exchange students: ES 177, Cultural Analysis for Global Professionals. It carries the Global Cultures Flag. Prior to his academic career, he worked with NASA and the B2 Stealth Bomber. He loves teaching this course. He also teaches Dynamics abroad.
