UT Austin students have the opportunity to study at the Universidad de Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. Founded in 1886, the University of Deusto has approximately 8,000 students and is one of the most distinguished and prestigious academic institutions in Spain. Bilbao is also a popular tourist destination as it is home to the modern and impressive Guggenheim Museum, located near the university. Deusto offers two academic tracks with a wide choice of courses.

Academic Information

Classes are taught in Spanish with only about 10 in English. This exchange is available for the spring semester or full year only. Business classes offered in the spring, most are FIN, MKT and MAN. Students from a wide selection of non-business classes; Spanish language offered.

Housing

Housing assistance is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis for student residence halls, or shared apartment rentals. It is highly recommended students apply for housing once they have been accepted as exchange/study abroad students. Program Cost

Students pay a $75 application fee, $500 Exchange Admin fee, and regular UT tuition for their semester exchange. Students are responsible for airfare, passport/VISA, housing, transportation, and costs of living. Participants pay required emergency health insurance coverage at $19 per week. Financial aid and scholarships can be used.

You must attend an upcoming BBA International Programs study abroad information session. Then, meet with a BBA semester program coordinator for a mandatory advising appointment. These two steps, info session attendance, and advising appointment, must be completed two weeks before an application deadline to be eligible to apply.
