The Universitat Pompeu Fabra, founded in 1990, ranks 9th in Europe. UPF has dedicated teaching staff, small class sizes, a focus on technology and global links. It has buildings strategically located throughout Barcelona, some near the historic downtown, and others in the revitalized 22@ neighborhood, home to engineering courses, incubators and start ups. Students can take all their courses English for Engineering, Science, Technology, Global Health and spring third trimester internships. Additional courses are offered to learn Spanish, engineering, economics, business, sciences, communications, humanities and technology. UT students choose one of two programs with different discipline tracks (1) Reciprocal Exchange for both Semesters and Year-long (2) Affiliate Education Abroad for both semesters, Year-long and Summer.

For Spring, students must take two classes each term or four classes in either session. There is very limited exchange course availability in the Spring trimester and regular courses are very challenging. We recommend students go for the Winter trimester only or the Winter and Spring trimester keeping this in mind.

UPF operates on the trimester system. Fall runs from September to December, Winter from January to March, and Spring from April to June. Be mindful of distances between schools if taking classes in different UPF schools. See various links below for course options.
