- Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
UT students have the opportunity to study on exchange for a semester
at the Universite Catholique de Louvain (UCL). Founded in 1425, UCL is
one of the oldest universities in Belgium with 21,000 students from
over 120 different countries. It is ranked the number one
French-speaking university in Belgium, and its Masters in
International Management is ranked third. Located in Louvain-La-Neuve,
twenty miles south of Brussels, the town is pedestrian-friendly and
although quite small, has a notable nightlife that is famous
throughout Belgium.
Students take regular university courses with students from the host
country. There is no prior language requirement, as a wide selection
of courses is taught in English. Participants earn regular UT
in-residence credit. All grades earned for the courses undertaken are
computed into the official UT-Austin GPA.
