The University of Cape Town is internationally recognized as one of
Africa's leading research universities. A range of commercial,
medical, recreational, and sporting facilities is available on
campus. These include a swimming pool, gymnasium, basketball, tennis,
badminton and squash courts, and a weight room.
The CIEE Service-Learning program offers an integrated approach to
learning and community involvement. The program enables students to
be active in service, while giving them opportunities to reflect upon
the complexities and challenges facing Cape Town specifically and
South Africa in general.
There are 2 programs with a wide variety of disciplines on offer, an
Arts & Sciences track and a Service-Learning track.
