- Edinburgh, Scotland
The alma mater of Charles Darwin, the university, founded in 1582 by King James VI, is among the top four in the UK and among the best in the world. Located in one of the most charming cities of Europe. Edinburgh, the inspiring capital of Scotland, is a historic, cultured city with stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture and winding medieval streets. Its courses in English and campus dormitories make it easy for students to integrate into university life. Its calendar is a good match to UT's calendar making it easy for students to come back to US for a summer internship or for UT's fist session summer school. UE also offers its own summer school. Well known for its great Engineering and Business programs, UE is also famous for its high quality research in many different fields. This exchange is open to all majors. UE has a very cosmopolitan and diverse student body with over 20,000 students, including 3,600 international students from 120 countries.
