Academic Information
Teaching takes place primarily in small groups or seminars, with lectures providing an introduction to key themes and debates within each topic. Students usually take 60 credits per semester, which usually means taking 3 or 4 courses worth 12-16 UT credits total.
Faculty
Courses taught by local faculty. Students have fewer professor contact hours, but are expected to do extensive research outside of class.

Students pay a one-time $75 application fee and regular UT tuition. Student are responsible for airfare, passport/VISA, local transportation, cost of living, and housing. Financial aid and scholarships can be used.

*DIRECT-ENROLL AFFILIATE* The University of Sussex Undergraduate Summer School is comprised of two 3-week sessions for a total of 6-weeks. Students will take one 4-credit course in each session for a total of 8 credits. Also available is an 8-week Physics Undergraduate Summer School.
Faculty
UT Austin students will take courses alongside study abroad students from around the world. Courses will be taught in the British higher educational style by University of Sussex professors. Students choose to apply either to the Undergraduate Summer School or Physics Programme.

Housing
Students are housed in the brand new East Slope campus residence. Rooms are single occupancy with a mix of ensuite bedrooms and bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Rooms are provided with all of the basics including towels, sheets, and duvets. Students will have a shared, fully-equipped kitchen. Free WiFi is available across campus.

Students pay a one-time $75 application fee to UT, and a $600 affiliate fee in place of regular UT tuition. Financial aid and scholarships may be used. Sussex requires an application fee of $250. The Sussex program fee is an estimated conversion of British Pounds to US Dollars.
