Famous for its strong engineering and science programs, UWA offers
almost every kind of major.
The university is located about 10 minutes from Perth, along a river,
and about 10 minutes from its most famous beach. The coastline is one
of the cleanest and most pristine in the world. An attractive city of
about two million, it has become one of the most diverse in the world
due the region's booming economy. Oil, gas and mining are important in
the northern part of its region which is about four times the size of
Texas. The mild climate makes it possible to enjoy the outdoors all
year around.

Housing
UWA has 5 dormitories for students to choose from. Dorms are co-ed with single bedrooms, a shared bathroom, computer rooms and common rooms, plus 2-3 meal/day. For students who live off-campus, the Housing Office provides free assistance with arranging accommodation, but students should apply early.

Program Cost
Students pay a one-time $75 application fee, a $500 Exchange fee and regular UT tuition for abroad. Students are responsible for airfare, passport/housing, local transportation, and general costs of living. Financial aid and scholarships may be used.

Academic Information
The university has an innovative and unique degree plan design which allows for an interdisciplinary exploration of engineering. Students are expected to be be internally motivated to study on their own and do extensive research.
Faculty
Students enroll for a total of 12 credits to be taken at the partner university with partner university students plus a required 1 hour online course offered to engineering exchange students, ES 177, Cultural Analysis for Global Professionals. ES 177 carries the Global Cultures Flag.
