Purpose

To work with the Dean and executive leadership team to develop, maintain, and deploy strategic marketing and branding initiatives,to serve as senior advisor to the Dean,and to work closely with the College's Director of Communications and UT Arlington's office of University Communications to develop marketing materials

Essential Functions

Manage and coordinate all marketing, branding, advertising and promotional activities. Develop, write, and coordinate content appropriate for deployment across all platforms. Work closely with the University Communications office and the College's Director of Communications to produce publications and other collateral for a highly functioning, message-driven, results-oriented communications and marketing program. Focus on student recruitment marketing, especially graduate recruitment programs, to increase both overall enrollment as well as the academic profile of students. Coordinate web-based marketing activities, including search engine optimization and reputation management, and develop strategies for, and manage all aspects of the College's social media activities. Identify and manage advertising and sponsorship opportunities. Work with University Communications to create and place advertising as needed. Procure promotional items for the College of Engineering and manage inventory and distribution of items to recruiters, senior staff, other University departments, students, alumni, etc. Manage logo and graphic identity guidelines for the College and departments and coordinate closely with University Communications. Develop strategies and maintain relevant benchmarks for assessing and improving the college's performance relative to peers and aspirants. Compile and analyze a variety of rankings, including annual U.S. News and World Report rankings. Conduct market research as necessary to support initiatives of the Director of Communications or other senior staff as needed to further the strategic plan and mission of the College. With the College's Development Officer and Corporate Relations Officer, create marketing plans to increase opportunities for student co-ops and internships, research and development funding, endowments and other mutually beneficial relationships.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or other closely related field. Five years of experience in marketing, advertising, or other closely related field. Impeccable written and oral communications skills.
