To redesign and maintain the Information Security website, develop modules and workflows to effectively communicate information security content, resources, and services provided. Develop compliance and targeted training sessions and documents, and coordinate the implementation of outsourced training services.

Essential Functions

Works with Information Security and Compliance staff to redesign and maintain the UT System Information Security and Compliance website including development, testing, and migration of website content. Proactively troubleshoot the UT System Information Security and Compliance website and resolve issues including, but not limited to site performance, security updates, error messages and user concerns. Coordinate the timely and effective communication of relevant information security publications, content, resources, rules, guidelines, and services provided to support of the UT System Information security Program. Coordinate and maintain the implementation of outsourced training services including vendor interactions, providing support to UT Institutions, maintaining use and completion metrics, and status reporting. Develop compliance, awareness, and/or targeted training sessions and/or documents as needed to support the UT System Information Security Program. Assist in the creation of survey documents to assess and help with continuous improvement of the UT System Information Security Program. Assist in monitoring and communicating status of Information Security Assurance Initiative projects Delivers training to UT System faculty and staff through a broad range of methods as needed. Works with third-party service providers as appropriate to provide information security training services. Provides support to institutional security programs as needed.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field and four years related work experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent organization skills and ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, technical issues in terms understandable to diverse constituencies. Ability to identify and document opportunities for improvement and provide alternative and innovative resolutions. Working experience in developing online training and delivering online and face-to-face training. Ability to adapt training methods to a variety of different audiences. Working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Drupal. Knowledge of HTML and CSS desirable. Working knowledge of scanning websites and code for vulnerabilities. Knowledge of current information security laws, standards, and accepted industry practice. Knowledge of usability and accessibility practices and standards.

Working conditions

May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Some travel required.
