Weekly schedule, fortnightly workshop on Wednesday evenings, one school visits per week. Work on computer at home on administrative paperwork. This position is grant funded.

Under minimal supervision, provides coordinating services, keeps official records, and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials, within area of assigned responsibility.

Essential Functions

Coordinates activities of staff in a business function, division, or department. Coordinates the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Coordinates special investigations and research studies. Establishes goals and objectives; develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals; and coordinates evaluation activities. Coordinates the implementation of techniques for evaluating business functions or division or department activities. Coordinates budget requests, monitors budget expenditures, and makes adjustments as necessary. Coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance with policies and procedures. Identifies areas of needed change and makes recommendations to improve operations. Provides technical guidance for a business function, division, or department. May coordinate staff development plans and activities. May coordinate the preparation, development, review, and revision of legislation. May represent the business function, division, or department at meetings, conferences, and seminars or committees. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. Liaises with 25 teacher participants. Observes their classroom in schools and provides feedback, an average of one school visit per week. Identifies areas of needed change and make recommendations to improve project objectives and operations. Coordinates budget requests and monitors budget expenditures. Manages data collection. Prepares data and assist project director in reporting to grant agency. Manages administrative matters such as keeping records, processing reimbursements and stipends, and orders materials/books for the workshop/participants. Provides technical guidance to project directors and participating teachers. Coordinates activities and events such as the taking care of logistics (e.g., setting up, making copies, ordering food) for Wednesday evening workshops from 4:30 to 8:30pm.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems. Complies with all State and University policies. Other duties may be assigned. Other related functions as assigned.
