Additional Information

Purpose

Work with customers and IT teams to develop requirements, maintain application configuration, and test the PeopleSoft HR and Finance applications.

Essential Functions

Interact with the user community to gather and document business requirements, conduct process analysis, and draft conceptual design. Design, configure and test PeopleSoft applications based on business specifications using the PeopleSoft developer's toolset (PeopleTools). Perform data mapping, conversion testing, and end-user/training documentation. Provide user assistance and direction for ad hoc data reporting and, as needed, develop reports using the PeopleSoft and Oracle reporting toolset. Assess the impact of PeopleSoft updates and provide proposals for applying them effectively. Lead campus users in completing user acceptance and develop/enhance testing scripts. Work with campus users and IT members on a routine basis to troubleshoot reported problems pertaining to application software. Identify the cause, design or develop an approach for resolution. Upon approval, work to implement the correction.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with coursework in computing or information systems and five years of progressively responsible computer systems management and analysis experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field. 7+ years of experience maintaining, configuring, and testing systems with a combination of: 4 + years extensive experience in systems analysis, design, and testing; 4+ years of PeopleSoft Application experience (version 8.8+ preferred in HCM, FMS, and/or Enterprise Portal); 2+ years of SQL Plus or general reporting; 4+ years of developing business requirements; 2+ years of testing experience (including script development and planning). Strong understanding of all phases of the application development lifecycle (specifically related to ERP application support and development). Strong understanding and application of project management disciplines. Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel). Familiar with relational database concepts. Certifications in supported technologies. Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to work well with people in all levels of the organization.
