Organize and direct the operations of the Institute for Research Technologies while planning and pursuing growth of the Institute's components.

Essential Functions

Work with Administrative and academic leaders to provide instrument support to IRT users Act as liaison between IRT and its users Implement and update charges rates, as outlined in OMB A-21 and UT Arlington policies Promote the IRT and its services to area academic institutions and commercial and federal entities. Provide researchers with support documentation specific to their grant applications. Direct day to day operations or the IRT

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Must hold an earned doctorate in appropriate field of research. Must have familiarity with grant application procedures and granting entities, strong organizational skills, good interpersonal relationship skills, and ability to multitask. Organize and direct the operations of the Institute for Research Technologies (IRT) while planning and pursuing growth of the Institutes components. Responsible for the design, execution, and effectiveness of a system of internal controls which provides reasonable assurance that department operations are effective and efficient, department assets are safeguarded, department financial information is reliable, and the department complies with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
