Additional Information


Work with staff to coordinate ongoing AmeriCorps Member recruitment, enrollment processing, management of Member records, development training, and national service projects.

Essential Functions

Develop and manage a year round recruitment plan to ensure that all AmeriCorps Member slots awarded to ACE are filled, including developing targeted recruitment efforts, attending recruitment fairs, managing speaking engagements to increase awareness of ACE, and building relationships with colleges and universities, community organizations, and media outlets to create ongoing recruitment strategies. Conduct interviews, in English and in Spanish. Coordinate, with ACE Administrative Assistant, an efficient process for member enrollment that complies with all University and Corporation for National and Community Service policies for AmeriCorps programs. Assist with Member exits in May and June, and participate in OneStar trainings and monthly calls. Plan and lead Civic Reflection for AmeriCorps Members two times per year. Plan, prepare, and attend National Days of Service, Life After AmeriCorps, and AmeriCorps Week. Assist with preparation of bi-annual AmeriCorps Progress Report. Assist Administrative Assistant with Member file audits and OnCorps timesheet set-up for AmeriCorps Members.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Two years of relevant experience, such as recruiting, training, and or records management in a national volunteer service program, or serving as a leader among national service volunteers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Professional demeanor. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated success in delivering stand-up presentations. Demonstrated strong bilingual (Spanish and English) skills. Demonstrated computer skills, including experience with MS Office software, email, and internet. Previous experience in National Service, especially AmeriCorps. Experience interviewing. Demonstrated ability to form community partnerships. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and to prioritize effectively.
