Additional Information

Purpose

Provide detailed administrative and clerical support for Law School faculty members (5 or more) under the supervision of the Assistant to the Dean.

Essential Functions

Proofread and process correspondence and/or mailouts and distribute as directed. Arrange travel, domestic and international and process all relevant documents, including authorization and reimbursement forms. Prepare charts, graphs, and reports as requested by faculty. Draft annual reports. Process documents using WordPerfect. Assist with preparation of class materials for 5 or more professors. Perform cutting-and-pasting, photocopying, collating, and distributing of class materials. Assist with exam preparation, grading, and distribution in an accurate and timely manner. Perform accurate and timely tape transcriptions of correspondence and articles. Assist with paperwork and files relevant to committee work, and other tasks as requested by faculty members or the Assistant to the Dean. Arrange travel and accommodations for visitors. Process payment vouchers. Organize special lectures for faculty and prepare programs of events. Maintain professors' files.

Required qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of experience with clerical functions. Minimum of one year work experience using WordPerfect software. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel. Demonstrated attention to detail. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than three years clerical experience. Experience working in an academic setting. Experience using UT Define system. More than three year work experience using WordPerfect software. Typing speed of 50 or higher. Spelling score of 95 or higher.
