Secure additional resources through philanthropic gifts and other funding opportunities to advance the Institute for Transformational Learning's mission among UT System components. Develop and maintain relationships and knowledge of UT institutions.
Prepare and submit proposals, solicit gifts to secure resources from individuals, corporations, foundations, federal and state entities. Coordinate, as assigned, submission of grants and funding to appropriate sources. Secure funding for sponsored research projects when appropriate. Work within a framework of fundraising goals, metrics, and best practices. Steward funders as needed. Work with External Relations to set up appropriate gift records. Work with project director to ensure timely reports to funders. Research grant and other funding opportunities. In conjunction with the Executive Director create the case for support for prioritized opportunities. Provide Executive Director with summaries and timelines for submission of quality grant/funding opportunities. Work with System Administration and across institutions to identify opportunities for collaborative grants and other funding sources. Conduct needs assessments with System Administration and institutions to determine opportunities to request and match funding to institutional needs in transformational learning.

Bachelor's degree in a related field with three years of related experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Knowledge of grants and fund information sources. Knowledge of basic grant and fundraising techniques and strategies. Excellent communication skills both oral and written. Excellent computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs, Lotus notes, Blackbaud Raisers Edge 7 database. Experience with budget development and monitoring. Experience in program development. Knowledge of contracts and agreements preferred.
