Provide career advising, instruction, and job search assistance to Working Professional MBA students (Texas Evening MBA, Dallas/Fort Worth MBA, Houston MBA, and Executive MBA programs).
Individual career advising with graduate business students in Dallas/Fort Worth and other MBA programs for University Recruiting and Experienced Hire positions, as well as internal promotion. Advising meetings to be held during the day, evenings, and some weekends and will involve travel to Austin, Houston, and throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. Develop, implement, and supervise programming to educate and train students about MBA career search strategies. Teach and present to small and large groups. Develop and deliver regular career services communications and updates to students through website, email, presentations and other methods (such as social media) as appropriate. Develop new resources to train students and market students to employers. Market the program to prospective students in Working Professional MBA Admissions events. Promote Working Professional MBA program students to employers for MBA and Experienced Professional hiring opportunities. Proactively work with prospective employers to generate interest and awareness of students from all MBA programs and to facilitate hiring, networking, and career development of the students, in particular in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area. Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with employers and alumni seeking graduate business students and alumni which will involve some cold calling and travel. Desire and ability to work collaboratively with the Employer Relations team on corporate outreach.

Master degree in business, education, counseling, or a related field. Five years of professional experience in career services or a human resources role performing a variety of corporate recruiting or career placement activities. Demonstrated excellent oral and written presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Professional demeanor. Excellent teamwork skills. Exceptional attention to detail and editing ability. High level of attention to detail and recordkeeping and advanced ability to work independently. Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to take initiative on projects. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
MBA degree. Prior MBA recruiting or career services experience. Experience with Executive or Working Professional MBA programs. Extensive knowledge of MBA level job search skills and recruiting processes. Extensive business experience in fields and industries highly sought after by current MBAs. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with MBA students, alumni, faculty, staff, and recruiters, even if located remotely. Familiarity with distance learning methods. Experience with Blackboard and/or Symplicity. Data analysis skills in Excel, such as working with pivot tables. Prior experience presenting to large groups.
