To provide administrative support in the Center for Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering, to relieve two faculty members from administrative duties and assist with the administration of the office.
Manage an industrial affiliates program and a large research project with various sponsors. This includes mailout of annual agreements, invoicing, and tracking funds received. Handle and maintain the accounts. Process personnel appointments, purchase orders, request for travel authorization forms, and payment vouchers. Prepare correspondence, format technical reports/papers, faculty annual report, maintain faculty resume. Assist with editing of papers. Serve as liaison with various UT offices and sponsors.
Other related functions as assigned.
High School graduation or GED. Five years of clerical experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Extensive knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Two years of proofreading/editing experience. Two years of accounting/bookkeeping experience. Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and have initiative to perform job independently. Possess good work ethic and communication skills. Demonstrate professional demeanor.
