Work schedule is dictated by events and meetings, which may require working early mornings, evenings and some weekends.
Under supervision of the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, this position will initiate and oversee all university employee and student wellness and health promotion activities. The coordinator will interface with all university departments and programs.
Develops and implements the yearly strategic business plan including program plan, marketing plan and communication plan. Plans, coordinates, and evaluates marketing and communications to maximize program engagement, including designing and updating content on the University Wellness website and other social media sites. Maintains on-going communication with Wellness Ambassadors, local area hospitals, and other functional areas including health related vendor-suppliers, as appropriate. Designs and develops outcome focused programs and interventions including data collection and evaluation processes. Collaborates with the Student Health Center, all university departments and academic programs to plan, implement and evaluate employee and student wellness and health promotion activities. Coordinates planning and delivery of the Wellness Program throughout UTEP in collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure full integration of program throughout all lines of the university. Assesses and reports on the effectiveness of program interventions. Creates outcome focused management reports based on the identified business plan goals and objectives. Participates in continuous quality improvement.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health, Kinesiology or related field, and three years of related experience and/or training to the essential duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Occasional traveling required.
Master of Public Health, Kinesiology or related field.
